Sierra Hull along with her brother Cody have been an inspiration to me. Many years ago I dedicated myself to help in the preservation of Bluegrass Music but didn't really know what to do or how to do it. So I began promoting Bluegrass Festivals and along with several other people
we organized the Fentress County Bluegrass and Crafts Festival in 1980.
We ran it for 4 years and the Little Crab Masonic Lodge agreed to put it on and they did this from about 1985-2001 and did a great job. I helped in promoting and MC'd the program each year with the exception of one year I was away working. The Fentress County Rescue Squad then picked up the festival and is currently keeping it going and doing a great job!
I say all that to say this...I'm so proud of our younger generation that keeps the music alive, they keep the tradition going. So many people have given so much, thru the years that this music continues with a growing popularity!
